Blind man sued for downloading porn

One of the 3,500 plaintiffs named in a copyright suit filed by a California porno company is having an easier time than others explaining to his wife that he wasn’t the one downloading Tokyo Cougar Creampies.

After all, John Doe #2,057 is legally blind.

Even still, the man’s Internet Service Provider has issued him a letter explaining that Imperial Enterprises, Inc. of California has filed a federal claim for his illegal downloading of their copyrighted skin flick. They specifically state in the suit that, at exactly 6:03 a.m. on the morning of January 27, the man signed online and began downloading the film.

"To be honest, it's a little ridiculous," he tells Seattle Weekly. "My movie-watching ability is nonexistent.”

Does the Internet Make You More — Or Less — Connected?

The other day my friend Mordy asked me this question:

Are you more or less connected since you started spending so much time on the Internet?

I'm more connected to people I don't know.

I'm equally connected to the people I do know.

I'm less connected to myself.

School forces raped girl to apologize to attacker

A seventh grade special-education student in Missouri is suing the school district for their actions involving repeated rapes she was subjected to on school grounds.

Not only did the educators in the Republic School District not believe the girl’s cries of rape a few years ago, but they responded by reprimanding her for it and forcing her to fork over a hand-written apology to the alleged assailant, a fellow student. From there they went as far as to suspend the victim for the remainder of the school year, only for her to return the following season and be raped by the same boy again.

12-year-old boy jailed for 30 years

Paul Henry Gingerich is serving a prison sentence for the shooting that killed a friend’s step-father. Even though he didn’t pull the trigger — or know that he was going to be a part of the murder plot — Gingerich was sentenced to 30 years in jail.

By the time he sees the light of the outside world again, he’ll have come a long way since sixth grade.

In Indiana, a 12 year old like Paul can be tried as an adult if the court finds it is in the best interest of society. His attorney, Monica Foster, tells RT that the controversy surrounding the case has led to unjust circumstances for a child that doesn’t deserve this punishment.

Since he was tried as an adult, a judge originally ordered Paul to serve time in a prison for one. That decision has since been changed, and for the time being the boy is behind bars at a juvenile facility. Even still, he is forced to live alongside hardened criminals, some nearly double his age that have been sentenced for horrible sexual assaults.
